Initial Telephone Consultation
Finding the right counsellor who you can trust is really important and so I offer a free initial telephone consultation to talk about what you are looking for from therapy, to explain how I work and to answer any questions, helping you decide if I am the right fit to offer the support you need.

If you are interested in seeing if counselling could be helpful to you, please contact me for a free initial telephone consultation.

Where are you based?
I support individual adults and young people aged 16 and over by offering counselling therapy through face to face, online and telephone sessions with face to face sessions held at my practice in Camberley.
My counselling practice is in Camberley, Surrey supporting clients by offering counselling therapy for Farnborough, Ascot, Sandhurst, Farnham, Lightwater, Windlesham and all local areas within easy reach of Camberley.

I offer face to face counselling sessions at my practice in Camberley and also online and telephone counselling. I offer short term or longer term counselling and work Monday to Friday with some availability in the evenings.

How often will I have sessions?
We usually have a session once a week and each session lasts fifty minutes. We can agree a day and time in the week that works for both of us and we book in the sessions on a week on week basis with regular reviews.

How many sessions will I need?
Everyone is different so we can talk about what might work for you. The number of therapy sessions is completely your choice. I offer short term or longer term counselling and work Monday to Friday with some availability in the evenings. Often we start by meeting for one session and then see how you feel and if you would like to continue, we then may agree on a small initial number but this is only a suggestion. We have regular reviews to see how things are going and whether more sessions would be helpful to you, but you can also stop counselling at any time.

Costs
Sessions cost £55 per session and I also offer a reduced rate for counsellors in training and full time students. Payment is made via bank transfer and I ask that this is paid at least 24 hours before the session.

Cancellations
Please let me know if you are not able to attend a session. If 48 hours notice is given, I do not charge for the session, however if less time is given I do have to charge the full fee.

What can I talk about?
Your sessions are your time and you can talk about whatever is troubling you. It could be related to anxiety, stress, self confidence, depression, relationships, bereavement, anger or loneliness or it could be something else. I offer a warm, sensitive and confidential space to be heard and a client led approach without judgement to help you explore your thoughts and feelings.

Confidentiality
Counselling is a space to talk freely and what you tell me is confidential, however there are a couple of exceptions. If I am concerned about the risk of serious harm to you or to someone else I would need to break confidentiality and speak to another professional. Wherever possible, I would discuss this with you first. There are also legal limits to confidentiality and if there was any disclosure of harm to a child, threat of terrorism or drug trafficking I am obliged by law to report this to the correct authorities.

As a professional counsellor, in line with the BACP Ethical Framework requirements, my work is regularly supervised by a qualified supervisor whose role is to ensure that I am working professionally and ethically. I attend supervision and refer to my clients only by their first name and all conversations between myself and my supervisor are confidential.

Will counselling work for me?
Many people find counselling brings relief and helps them feel more comfortable in themselves and more able to cope with their problems, but it might not suit everyone. When we have our initial telephone consultation, this will help you decide if counselling could be right for you. If you choose to go ahead, we have regular reviews during therapy to talk about how things are going, think about how you are feeling and discuss whether more sessions would be helpful to you.

Please contact me if you would like to have an initial telephone consultation to see if counselling could be right for you.
