About Counselling
What is counselling?
Counselling can also be referred to as therapy. The British Association for Counselling and Psychotherapy (BACP) describe counselling as a talking therapy which offers a safe and confidential space to talk to a trained professional about your issues and concerns and to explore your thoughts, feelings and behaviours to develop a better understanding of yourself and others. Why do people see a counsellor?
Sometimes it can be difficult or impossible to talk to family or friends about what is going on for you. You may need support but feel they don't understand, they will offer unwanted advice or you may not want them to know how you are feeling.
Counselling offers you a safe space to talk confidentially to a professionally trained counsellor about what is troubling you.
How can counselling help?
Counselling can help support you in difficult times. You could be feeling troubled by anxiety, stress, self confidence, depression, relationships, bereavement, anger or loneliness or it could be something else.

I support adults and young people aged 16 and over by offering counselling therapy for Fleet, Farnborough, Ascot, Sandhurst, Windlesham and all local areas within easy reach of Camberley. I offer face to face, online and telephone counselling with face to face sessions taking place at my practice in Camberley.
